Bachelor of Arts in Biblical & Theological Studies
At the heart of The School of the Prophets is the bachelor’s degree in Biblical and Theological Studies. The degree program prepares its graduates to make meaningful differences for Christ in all aspects of society. Students gain a greater understanding of the apostolic and the prophetic and a wealth of wisdom about exercising those gifts in the marketplace, in ministry, and in personal settings. Graduates of the program will emerge:
- With a well-rounded education
- With a strengthened apostolic and prophetic worldview
- Better equipped for their chosen profession
- As self-aware, authentic leaders.

To graduate with the Bachelor’s in Biblical and Theological Studies the student will:
- Complete at least the minimum numbers of units required.
- Successfully complete all courses in the degree program.
- Earn a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5.
- Fulfill any outstanding school financial obligations.

The Bachelor of Arts is a four-year program consisting of 120 units.
Career Opportunities
A degree in Biblical studies can lead to a variety of career paths. Some of the most common career options include:
Pastor: A pastor leads a Christian congregation and provides counsel to community or congregation members. They prepare sermons, preach and lead worship services. Pastors also interpret biblical scripture and help members of the church with crisis situations.
Director: Directors lead a branch of ministry within a church. They provide administrative leadership, work alongside other church members, and use their biblical knowledge to make important decisions.
Chaplain: A chaplain is a spiritual leader who provides guidance and support to people in hospitals, prisons, military bases, and other settings.
Counselor: Counselors provide guidance and support to individuals or groups who are struggling with personal or emotional issues.
Social Worker: Social workers help people cope with difficult situations such as poverty, illness, or abuse.
Journalist: Journalists report on news and current events related to religion and spirituality.
Educator: Educators teach courses on religion, theology, or biblical studies at colleges, universities, or seminaries.
Manager: Managers oversee the operations of religious organizations such as churches, synagogues, or mosques.
Missionary: Missionaries travel to different parts of the world to spread the gospel and provide humanitarian aid.
Humanitarian Worker: Humanitarian workers provide aid and support to people in need around the world.
Administrators, Directors, Program Managers, Emerging Leaders, Admission Counselor, Instructors, and Entrepreneurship.
